We've been working hard behind the scenes, and we're excited to share what's coming in the next Franco Food app update. Nine new features designed to make your rides smoother, your payments faster, your wallet safer, and your trips unforgettable. Let's take a look! 👇
1. 🚕 Taxi Categories: X, Comfort and XL
Now you can choose your ride style. Pick X for the everyday affordable trip, Comfort for a newer car with extra space, or XL for larger groups with plenty of room. Each category shows its own price upfront — no surprises.
2. 📅 Scheduled Rides for Drivers
Drivers can now grab scheduled trips in advance. You'll get a reminder 30 minutes before pickup telling you exactly where to be and at what time — so you're always on time for your passenger.
3. 💳 Saved Cards in Taxi
Paying for your ride just got faster. Your saved cards now appear in taxi checkout — just tap a card and pay instantly. No need to re-enter your details every time.
4. 💰 Real-Time Wallet (It's Real Money!)
Your wallet is real money, so it deserves real-time treatment. Before you pay with your wallet, the app verifies your balance covers the cost — and if it doesn't, you'll see a clear message inviting you to top up. Your balance and every movement update live, instantly, with no need to refresh.
5. 🌍 Notifications & Emails in Your Language
From now on, every notification, push and email arrives in the language you set in your app — Spanish, English, French or Portuguese. No more guessing what that message said.
6. 🗺️ Your Route, Drawn on the Map
When you request a ride, you'll see your full route traced on the map, with your pickup point and destination clearly marked. You'll always know exactly where you're going.
7. 🧭 Driver Navigation with Voice Guidance
Drivers get a full-screen navigation experience right inside the app — turn-by-turn directions with voice guidance, just like the big navigation apps. No need to switch apps mid-trip.
8. ⌚ Apple Watch: Actionable Notifications
No watch app needed — Franco Food comes to your wrist through actionable push notifications. Drivers can accept or decline trip requests right from the watch, businesses can accept or reject new orders, and customers get trip and order tracking, can call the driver, cancel, or leave a quick rating — all from Apple Watch, via your iPhone app. Find everything explained in the app under Settings → ⌚ Apple Watch.
9. 🧭 Tourist Guides: Explore the Caribbean
Visiting Trinidad & Tobago, Antigua & Barbuda or Dominica? The new Tourist Guides section (in the app menu) shows you verified places, hotels and the airport for each country — each place with its real history and description. Tap the taxi button to head there with the destination pre-filled (attach your flight number to your airport pickup), order food with the sticky CTA, or ask the AI chat helper in Spanish, English or French.
